The most important part of any physiotherapy treatment is the assessment and subsequent diagnosis of any problems you maybe experiencing.

My first appointment:
What should I wear?
On your first appointment make sure you wear suitable clothing so that we can see the body as a whole, shorts and t-shirt or vest top would be recommended.
What should I expect?
Your first visit will last about 30 minutes on a one-to-one basis with your physiotherapist. You will be asked questions about your problem, such as:
- Any general health problems?
- Medication ?
- Job, activities
- What is the problem ?
- When did it start?
- What started it (if known)?
- What aggravates / eases the problem ?
- Any previous treatments?
There will also be a physical examination to assess mobility etc.
If possible, please arrive a little early as you will be required to complete paperwork. Leave plenty of time if you are coming by car as parking can be difficult. For information about travel and car parking, please see the contact us page.
